2011 Race Goals: Every team needs a badass sougnier, right? I also would love to help out again with putting on our street sprints and crit races this summer. I probably won’t be able to race again, but I know, come cross season, Dave will need somebody on the receiving end of a PBR hand-down. And that person might as well be me.

I’m on this team because: this team is like my family, a really fucking huge family. Each member of this team has helped me bounce back, physically, socially and mentally, from one of the most challenging and arduous times of my life: recovery from a TBI resulting from a road race accident in 2009. Ironclad just isn’t any old team, they stick with you during the ugly, scary, and bloody times of ICUs, take embarrassing photos, visit often and bring “real” food during extended hospital stays, take more embarrassing photos, write your name down their arms for the next race, and make you laugh and enjoy life during the long, slow road to recovery. Most importantly, they love you for who you are, not because you won this race or came in 2nd at that one. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.

Favorite pizza & pizzeria: Vincente’s and Sparky’s, depends on how much money is in the bank.

Favorite beers: Lompoc Cream Stout on nitro, Deschutes Green Lakes Organic Ale, Black Boss Porter

Favorite place to make out: Pretty much anywhere. I love my husband, what can I say.

Favorite place to sad clown: On top of Mount Olympus

Dream bike: It’s in the works! A handbuilt custom Pereira (Thanks, Tony and Clint!).

First bike memory: Riding to the pool in my bathing suit and hot pink helmet on my sister’s hand-me-down green 10-speed Schwinn (circa 1987)

Favorite post-race activity: Decompressing with friends, food, and beer in the McMenamins soaking pool
