It is upon us, the SSCXWC for 2009, and the last to be held in Portland for a bit. So hang on to your hat and strap yourself in. Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times. There’s a motion sickness bag in the seat pocket in front of you, along with a safety card. Please follow along.

If you plan on shielding your children for life from regular scenes like adults partying to excess, please do not bring them to this event after 4pm. If you are a wicked witch sort and melt when wet things get thrown on you, please do not race in this event. If you are of weak constitution and wish to run and hide when people yell at you, then this is not the event for you.

A hearty good luck to all those contesting the State CX Championship race on Saturday in Salem. The folks at Buy Local Cycling have done a bang up job on the whole series and tomorrow’s course looks to be a real winner. Have fun!

Sunday brings more Crusades during the day, then at 4 the demons of hell shall be unleashed. This will be one for the ages.
